Foods That Improve Your Memory

Published by admin at 6:14 pm under Women's Health

The more children I have, the more memory loss I experience! I jokingly tell my friends that I’ve lost 10% of my brain cells with each child I’ve had. But in all seriousness, there are foods you can eat that will help to boost your memory:

  • High Fiber Foods – Fruits, vegetables and grains with high fiber can help to prevent borderline diabetes, therefore helping with your memory.
  • Fats Derived from Fish – Polyunsaturated fats (particularly omega-3s from fish) and less saturated fats from dairy foods can help to improve your memory.
  • Folic Acid and Vitamin B12 – Foods rich in folic acid and vitamin B-12 lower blood levels of homocysteine. High levels of homocysteine are found in those who suffer from Alzheimer’s disease. Take a multivitamin that contains 400 mcg of folic acid and 6 mcg of B12.
