CVS and Minute Clinics

Published by admin at 3:12 pm under Child Health and Safety

Last night my son was complaining of a sore throat and since he has been around others with strep, I decided come morning, we would need to get his throat looked at. I had heard that CVS was offering a walk in health clinic that did quick strep tests for just $69. It’s true. It was quick (15 minutes), no line and the nurse practitioner was a pleasure to deal with. I will definitely do this again. Although not all CVS Stores have this service available to it’s customers, I get a feeling they will be opening more clinics very soon. I’m hearing Walmart and Target will be following suit. With a record number of people without health insurance, these rates will be welcome news. For others, the quick “in” and “out” time will be enough of a reason for them to use this service. It was for me!
