Can Overweight People be Fit?
The answer may surprise you! Those overweight who exercised ten minutes per day with a moderate workout were not only able to reduce their waistlines but lower their blood pressure. In this study there was no loss of weight although waistlines were reduced. Fat lost around the middle section indicates better heart health since fat is linked to insulin resistance which is a contributor to heart disease. This report comes as good news for those of us over 40 who have trouble losing weight. Staying fit can be as easy as running around the block , or going up and down the stairs for better muscle toning. I was surprised that ten minutes per day could make so much of a difference.
