Beauty Tips: Broken Make-Up
Have you ever had your favorite powdered cosmetic (eye shadow, blush, foundation, etc.) fall and break into a million pieces. You don’t have to throw it away, you can save it by mixing a little alcohol with the powdered cosmetic until it’s a thick paste, let it dry and viola, it’s as good as new.
Another tip I want to pass along has to do with blow-drying your hair. Many of us use a round brush to add curls to the bottom of the hair to give it a bouncy full rounded look. Did you know that while using the curling brush and blow drying your hair, you should leave the brush in the curl for a few seconds after you take the blow dryer away. The secret is to let the hair cool down before removing the brush. Heat softens hair so that you can manipulate it which is why you need to leave the brush in until it cools to hold the shape. Same with hot curlers. Wait until they are completely cool before taking out.
