It’s no rumor this time! Angelina Jolie, 33, and Brad Pitt, 44, are the proud parents to twins. Despite talk of the twins both being girls, turns out one is a girl and the other is a boy! Angelina and Brad’s fraternal twins arrived via C-section on the evening of Saturday, July 12^th at the seafront hospital where Angelina was admitted nearly 2 weeks ago; the Lenval hospital in the city of Nice (in southern France). The couple’s baby boy, Knox Léon, was delivered first at 6:27 pm, while their baby girl, Vivienne Marcheline, was delivered less than a minute later at 6:28 pm. Knox was the heaviest, weighing 5.03 lbs. Little Vivienne weighed all of 5 lbs.

Angelina’s obstetrician who delivered the twins, Dr. Michael Sussmann, reported that Brad was perfectly calm during the C-section, but also very moved and emotional. Brad cut both Knox’s and Vivienne’s umbilical cords following their birth and he was at Angelina’s side through the entire event. The doctor also said there were no problems during delivery and Angelina and the babies, “will stay for a few days. You know, in Europe it isn’t like in the United States, where the patients go home after three days. They will stay a bit longer until everything is okay.” He added, “The babies are fine. The babies are with the mother and father and they are fine.” It was later reported that Angelina and the twins, “may remain at the hospital another six or seven days while the newborns grow.” Even though the doctor says they are in, “excellent health”, he also says, “they do need to gain some weight.”

The first photographs of the new twins may fetch upwards of $11 million, according to reports. The newspaper that first reported the births, Nice Matin, reported exclusive rights to those photos have already been sold to a US magazine (which is still unnamed) and the money will go to charity. Knox Léon and Vivienne Marcheline join three adopted siblings, Maddox (6), Pax (4) and Zahara (3), and biological sister, Shiloh (2). That brings the total Jolie-Pitt children to 6.
