Natalie Morales Expecting a Boy
NBC’s The Today Show co-anchor Natalie Morales, 36, and husband, Joe Rhodes, have announced they are expecting their second baby boy. Soon after announcing her pregnancy last March while standing outside the studio with her co-hosts at 12 weeks along, she said, “We’re really excited! It’s truly a blessing.” When asked how she was feeling at the time, she said, “Great.” But, Natalie suffered from “night sickness” in place of the dreaded “morning sickness.”
Natalie and Joe struggled with fertility issues before their baby-on-the-way’s conception. She shared, “When I found out I was pregnant, it was the best news I’d gotten all year. We had been trying for a long time. Most people think you can just decide to have a child, but it just doesn’t work that way.”
Natalie's official due date is September 16th, although she shared her new son, whom they will name Luke, is scheduled to arrive via C-section shortly before then. Baby Luke will join big brother Joseph Steven, aka “Josh” (4), who was delivered via emergency C-section due to a dropping heart rate. Back in March, Natalie said little Josh is, “excited to be a big brother. He says he'll share all his toys.. He says that now!”
Since Natalie’s due date is right around the corner, NBC News pointed out she didn't cover the Olympics in Beijing or any of the political conventions this fall. Natalie and Joe celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary last month. They were married August 22, 1998 in Denver, Colorado.
