John Travolta, Kelly Preston Lose a Son

Sad news for actor John Travolta and wife, actress Kelly Preston who lost their son on Friday morning.  Jett Travolta is said to have died after hitting his head on a bathtub following a siezure.  Jett who was 16 years old, had a history of seizures due to Kawasaki disease, a condition that affects the heart.  John Travolta told Larry King of CNN back in 2001 that his son nearly died at another time due to this condition.

Police state that at 10 am an ambulance was called to a resort in the Bahamas where the Travolta family was vacationing.  Their son was pronounced dead on arrival, then transferred to Rand Memorial Hospital in Freeport. An autopsy will be done to determine the cause of death.

John Travolta and Kelly Preston have an 8 year old daughter as well. Our condolences go out to the Travolta family.
