Recall: Old Navy Stuffed Toys
In cooperation with the Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada, a voluntary recall was issued for Old Navy stuffed toys. Approximately 35,000 stuffed animals, “Stuff Animal and Creature Toys” were sold between July 2008 through February 2009. The concern is that the button eyes on the toy poses a choking hazard risk to young children. No injuries have been reported.
If your child or a child in your care has one of these toys, you should remove it immediately and return it to Old Navy for a full refund. Contact Old Navy directly, if purchased online, at 866-580-9930. Consumers who return the toy before July 1, 2009 will also receive a $5 coupon toward a future Old Navy purchase.
