3-Year Old Boy Impaled by Rod

It is rather disturbing for to me to see a photo of a 3-year old boy impaled by a four foot rod.  This horrible accident happened when an Indian child fell on the rod while playing at his grandfather’s house. He was taken  three miles away to Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences in Bariatu.

Dr. Sandeep Agarwal, the leader of a group of doctors who had worked on the young lad,  indicated that he was out of danger.  They had operated on him by removing the rod first and then repairing damaged organs.  Poor little guy!  Hope he’s up and running around in no time (in a safer play area!).
