Eddie Bauer Play Yards Recall

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a voluntarily recall of some Eddie Bauer Play Yards with rocking bassinets. The Eddie Bauer Soothe and Sway portable play yards convert to a bassinet and changing table. The danger is that the unit does not always return to a level position after being converted and can remain tilted, posing a suffocation risk.

There have been ten reports of babies rolling to one side and six that had their faces up against the bassinet. In one case the infant turned blue and was out of breath. The Soothe and Sway Play Yards were sold at Sears, Target, Burlington Coat Factory stores and internet retailers. Contact Dorel Juvenile Group at 888-233-4903 as a $40 voucher will be issued toward a new Dorel product that does not contain the bassinet attachment.
