Gilbert

It's a bouncing baby boy for funny man Gilbert Gottfried and wife Dara. Max Aaron Gottfried joined the brood on Monday, May 18th at 9:44 pm and weighing in at 7 lbs., 14 oz., and 20 inches long. Little baby Max joins older sister Lily Aster, who turns 2 next week.

"Max is named after Gilbert’s father Max and my grandmother Mildred," mommy Dara reports, "Our son was also born on his grandfather Max’s birthday! His middle name is after my grandfather Aaron."
Dara continues, "Max has a full head of dirty blond hair. I am very tired, but labor was a lot easier than with Lily!"

Gottfried, age 54, and Dara first proclaimed they were pregnant with Max in November, stating then that the due date was May 24th.

Gilbert Gottfried is a well known stand-up comedian and actor, recognized most notably for his most overwhelming feature, his loud, raspy unmodulated voice. He lately has been the voice of AFLAC's talking duck on their commercials, but he has been the voice of many comedy specials before that and even more famously, the voice of the animated parrot in Disney's classic movie, Aladdin.
