Restaurants Reaching Out to Customers

tgifridays2As the U.S. economy bounces back from tough times, restaurants are looking for ways to get customers back since many families are choosing not to eat out as much to save money.

At least two cafes/restaurants are offering some perks to bring customers back in. Starbucks has announced some healthier choices on their coffee menu. Posted on their website, “You told us what’s important to you – real, wholesome foods that are naturally delicious. Well, we couldn’t agree more. That’s why we removed the artificial trans fats, artificial flavors, artificial dyes and high-fructose corn syrup from everything in our food case. From sandwiches and salads to sweets and pastries, all you taste is the real goodness of pure ingredients.” Starbucks is introducing their new strawberry banana Viananno smoothie to customers.” They add, “We’ve got good news. We’re using simpler recipes and taking out artificial ingredients. So your food not only tastes better, it is better.”

T.G.I.Friday’s is approaching things from a different angle. Join their perks program, “Give Me More Stripes” and get a free desert or appetizer and jump to the front of the line at their restaurant (if there is a wait). For each dollar you spend you get one stripe. Add your stripes up and get more perks. To sign up, go to their website, T.G.I.Friday’s.
