3 Year Old Drives Toy Truck in River

Can you imagine, not being able to find your three year old after looking everywhere you could think of?   And then you look over at the water… the water by your campsite.   What a terrifying feeling the grandparents of  three year old, Demetrius, must have had.

Their grandson had driven his battery powered truck into a river on the edge of the family campsite in Canada.  What’s amazing is that this little guy stayed a float for about eight miles and traveled down stream when a boater saw what he thought were rocks and an eagle.  It turns out what he thought were rocks was actually the capsized truck’s tires and the top of the boy’s head was the eagle.

Campers and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police had been searching for about two hours before Demetrius was found wearing only a diaper and t-shirt.   That same night he was found back on his truck …  I’m sure with supervision.
