Review: Smooth Away Hair Removal System

Yesterday, I went shopping at “Bed Bath and Beyond” for a bath mat and walked past an “As Seen on TV” product that I had seen many times on TV. I simply could not resist buying it. It’s called Smooth Away and for the low price I felt it was worth a try. This product claims to remove hair from the legs, face and arms, instantly and to be pain free. The instructions are very easy to understand.

After the kids went to bed, I took the applicator out of the box and attached the pad which they say are “super fine crystals”. To my surprise after swirling this applicator around and buffing various parts of my skin, the hair was mostly gone. My legs were smooth as it exfoliates your legs in the process and my legs felt great. This does not do as well for me as shaving with a razor, but it works well enough, since I really hate shaving. I’m happy with this product.

There are many mixed reviews about “Smooth Away” and I think it may have to do with the type of hair you have, how much hair you have, or whether your skin is sensitive as it can cause irritation or a rash on some. For me, I had no problems.

I do have one complaint, however. After visiting their website to see how much the replacement pads are, I could not find a way to leave the site. No matter how many times I tried to exit out, I just could not do it. I tried backing out, “X”ing out at the top right and tried clicking various other pages on the site, but a new browser page would open up, leaving the old page still up. I didn’t want to close my firefox browser because I had been working on other things and needed to keep that up. The most annoying part was that their was a video playing over and over on the page and during this process I had to turn off the sound. Yes, I know that companies are out to sell their product but making it almost impossible to leave the site without buying is not a good thing to do.

Great product but poor marketing on their website.
