How to Get Rid of Ants

I remember renting a house near Orlando so my family could visit Disney World.  We had such a problem with ants.  We would sweep the kitchen floor directly after each meal.  If I walked out to take care of something else and returned to the kitchen, there would be a line of ants coming in from the outside.  And this was a fairly new home.  I too have had issues in some of the houses I’ve lived in.  There were a couple of years where for some reason ants started finding their way into my house.  So when I read that chalk can help rid your home of ants, I knew I had to pass it along.  Keep in mind, I haven’t tried it yet.  According to the article I read, simply draw a line around each door and window and ants won’t cross the line.  Noone knows for sure why, whether it be because they don’t like the chalk sticking to their feet, or something in the chalk itself that doesn’t agree with them.  Because chalk is non toxic, it’s better for children, pets and the environment than conventional chemical treatments.
