Alicia Keys Expecting and OK After Fall

 Singer/Actress Alicia Keys spoke to The Mirror about her pregnancy recently, stating that her pregnancy is a “gift from God,” as well as stating, “I can’t wait to become a mum, no question.”

The lovely mom-to-be, age 29, announced her bun in the oven back in May of this year, at her favorite charity’s ball aptly titled, Keep a Child Alive. The 12-time Grammy award winner is engaged to her producer beau, Swizz Beatz, with a wedding planned at the end of this year.

Alicia reiterated her previous thoughts, adding, “It’s the most beautiful gift in the world. Truly a gift from God. I have an amazing mother – she is a best friend to me. And I would like to be the same to my child.”

Although this is her first baby, and her fiancé’s 3^rd, she is already planning for the future.

“Adopting is definitely not out of the question. I would love to figure out the ways that could work for me….I felt I wanted to scoop up the children I met in Africa and take them home. At this point I kinda feel I have amazing brothers and sisters in Africa.”

Alicia Keys was born Alicia Augello Cook and is well known songwriter/singer/actress whom has been performing since age seven. She is an accomplished pianist and has been called the “Princess of Soul.” Her acting career has spanned from the Cosby show as a child actress to starring roles in recent movies, such as, Smokin Aces, Nanny Diaries & The Secret Life of Bees. We wish this accomplished woman great joy in her upcoming nuptial and new baby.
