Strap on Breast?
A Canadian Mother, Christa Anderson, has invented a new harness held bottle feeding system called Nurse Me Tender. She conceived of the design after weaning her son at 10 months. She said she,"missed the intimacy and the convenience of breastfeeding. “I felt very awkward and uncomfortable bottle feeding after breastfeeding—really restrained.” This site has an article on her invention if you would like to read more about her device and what some lactation experts are saying about it.
Many folks are up in arms, saying that it is gimmicky and just one more device that " pushes baby further away from mom’s body than traditional bottlefeeding". Personally, I have to agree, it does seem gimmicky and just a little bit silly. But, I have always said breast is best and when it isn't an option for whatever reason, then bottle isn't the end of the world.
Let's face it, the whole point is to have some one on one time and feed your baby. In my opinion, anything that helps that happen is a good thing. It would be worse if it were a remote controlled artificial breast attached to high chair. At least, the parent is involved in breastfeeding and the child is being nourished.
At the end of the day, who am I to judge? Okay, I would judge if a person were using the contraption to be able to feed the child and have their hands free to text on their phone rather than interacting with their baby. That I would judge!
But this site is really about your opinions; So what do you think? Would you use something like this? Does it have a place in the list of required baby equipment?

So, mom’s who text while breastfeeding, that’s something you could equally judge, right? Breast is Best! Breastmilk is just as nutritions out of a bottle..Sadly, not everyone gets the pleasure or the desire to breastfeed.
Hey Dawn,
Thanks for reading.
Actually, I have to say I do find it irritating to see mom’s ignoring their infants so that they can text message. There are so many times that the baby isn’t being held that Mom could do that, why do it when you should be taking a moment to bond and have some face time with the kid.
I don’t see it as a breast is best issue, more that if you are going to bottle feed still pay attention to the wee tike.
