POST PREGNANCY – How to Get Back the Real YOU in 3 Healthy Ways!
Can't seem to get back to your pre-pregnancy weight? Sometimes losing weight can be as easy as 1-2-3!
Check out the top three things you can be doing to get back to the REAL you!
1. Breast Feeding
Your body puts on weight to help store the energy you need to breast feed. In one study by Kramer (1993) studies showed that mothers who breastfeed where more likely to be back to their normal weight within 6 months.
2. Exercise (Even when you don’t want to)
Exercising doesn’t have to be about going to the gym! A good way to lose those extra pounds is to bring out the stroller and walk your baby around the block 2 times a day. Hate Nature? Hit the mall and window shop for an hour! If you need more of a workout – then treat yourself to a Zumba class or gather your girlfriends for a relaxing yoga class at home! Just 20 minutes of cardio a day can be just what you need to get back into the shape you were pre-pregnancy.
3. Superfoods!
By combining exercise with a healthy diet – you can be sure you lose those extra few pounds! Shape Magazine advises post-pregnancy ladies to ditch the crash diets (as they can be unsafe for your baby while breastfeeding and to you if you aren’t) and focus your diet on ab-friendly superfoods! Some super foods you can incorporate to your diet are barley, broccoli, salmon, yogurt, walnuts, melon and even wine (to a minimum).
