Mariah Carey Returns Home After Hospital Visit

It looks like Mariah Carey’s twins won't be having their own diva moment! After experiencing contractions, the singer was rushed to the hospital for what she thought may have been an early birth, but was released shortly after once doctors had everything “under control”.

The early delivery would have meant the twins would share the birthday spotlight with their mother, who turned 41 on March 27. The actual due date for the babies is still a few weeks away, giving the parents-to-be more time to prepare.

Both Carey and husband Nick Cannon have taken to Twitter to talk about their impending parenthood and meeting their new baby boy and girl. According to Cannon, he’s got some preparing to do before the big day – “I am probably going to faint in the delivery room,” he tweeted. “I need to man up! Or maybe I should say WOMAN UP since they are the ones that have to be the strongest.”

Cannon went on to express his awe for his wife, who has also been tweeting her excitement about the impending birth of the babies. Despite keeping the news under wraps for as long as possible, Carey has since been very public about her pregnancy, opening up about everything from her baby shower to the miscarriage she suffered after becoming pregnant not long after her marriage to Cannon.

It’s been a long but enjoyable road for Carey and Cannon, and now, with the excitement of the possible early birth behind them, it’s back to the waiting game for the couple – as well as the rest of us, who can’t wait for the Carey-Cannon twins’ big debut!
