Natalie Portman Becomes Mom to Baby Boy

For most people, winning an Oscar might be the highlight of your year, but Natalie Portman has just topped that, giving birth to a baby boy.

The 30-year-old actress is celebrating the birth of her first child with boyfriend Benjamin Millepied, a French choreographer whom she met on the set of Black Swan. In her Oscar acceptance speech, she gave him a special mention, calling him "my beautiful love, Benjamin, who has now given me my most important role of my life." Pretty neat that one movie gig has led to love, motherhood and a career-crowning achievement for Natalie. Talk about life-changing.

Although Natalie has been very prolific in Hollywood recently, with roles in No Strings Attached, Your Highness, Thor and The Other Woman all since her success in Black Swan, she's not sure yet how her career will be affected by motherhood. "I really can't say what's going to happen. I have no idea what to expect," she said after the Oscars.

The couple are keeping the details of their new life private, with no word yet on the baby's name, and no information about their possible wedding plans. When she announced her pregnancy and engagement back in December, however, she said "I am indescribably happy and feel very grateful to have this experience."
