Pink Shares Details of Willow Sage's Birth!

Sometimes, it's good to be reminded that celebrities are just like everybody else.  They have babies, and when they have babies, they make a lot of plans about how those babies are going to come into the world.  Plans that frequently go completely out the window when the baby makes his or her appearance.

Pop star Pink, the proud new mama of Willow Sage Hart, is no exception.  She shared the details of her own hopes for her birthing experience, and what actually happened, with People Magazine last week.

After watching The Business of Being Born, a documentary about the childbirth process, Pink and her husband, Cary Hart, were eager to experience the natural joys of childbirth.

“We took all kinds of classes and decided to work with midwives at The Sanctuary … I was really looking forward to the whole rite of passage — giving birth perfectly present, unmedicated, in the way nature intended," Pink told People.

But Willow had other ideas!

“She was in the frank breech position, which is head up with her legs up by her head in a pike position. We tried everything to turn her around,” Pink revealed to People. “Turns out this little girl had other plans — she is my daughter, after all.”

But the pop star seems to have the right idea about handling unexpected changes in plans when it comes to parenting.

“It all turned out perfectly in the end, even though it wasn’t what we intended, because she is healthy and happy and so am I,” the singer added.
