B.O.B. Jogging Strollers Recalled

Posted by admin

Parents who own B.O.B. single and double jogging strollers should be advised – roughly 438,700 units in the United States and Canada are being recalled due to a choking hazard.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, six incidents have been reported in which the stroller’s canopy logo patch – which is embroidered and has a backing - has become detached. In two of these incidents, gagging and choking by infants was reported. In all cases, the children were seated in an infant car seat.

The strollers were manufactured between November 1998 and November 2010, and were sold as single-seat and double-seat models. For strollers manufactured after October 2006, the manufacturing date is listed on a white label attached to the stroller leg. If no date label is visible, the strollers were made before 2006 and are considered included in the recall.

Owners of affected strollers are told to stop using them immediately until they remove the backing patch from the canopy logo. For instructions on how to remove the patch, consumers can contact B.O.B. Trailers at (855) 242-2245, 8:30 am to 5pm MT, Monday through Friday, or visit the B.O.B. website.

For complete details on the recall, visit the CPSC website or the Health Canada website.
