Kate Middleton Pregnant Doll is a Must-Have!

If you’re having a hard time finding the perfect Christmas gift for someone on your list this year, maybe you’ll want to consider the pregnant Kate Middleton doll made by toymakers Arklu!

While Kate Middleton has already been “dollified”, ever since pregnancy rumors began to surface, Arklu has been bombarded with requests for another Kate doll, this one sporting a baby bump. While it may seem a bit creepy to make the doll before Kate herself is pregnant, it could be a smart business move for Arklu, who have already made a killing off their first Kate doll.

But for now, the toymakers are taking it slow, as historically, pregnant dolls have never been as big sellers as their flat-stomached counterparts. A pregnant Midge doll, close friend of Barbie, was actually pulled from shelves in 2002 after being deemed “too real” for small children (though this doll was equipped with a detachable stomach that had a replica fetus inside, and it’s unlikely that the Kate doll would follow suit).

At SureBaby, we think Arklu would be better off waiting till Kate announces her pregnancy before releasing the doll – there would be more opportunity for authentic wardrobe replicas, which we all know is important in the doll world.

In the meantime, the company could always capitalize on the second-most in-demand doll – the Pippa!
