Britain’s Got Talent Judge Amanda Holden Nearly Dies in Childbirth!

Her name may not be as familiar over on this side of the pond, British TV star Amanda Holden’s harrowing childbirth story is something that will resonate with moms everywhere.

Holden is already mother to daughter Lexi. Complications from a “low lying placenta” lead to a C-section birth in that instance, but it was reported that her latest pregnancy went smoothly, up until delivery. Though not all details are known, during the birth, the star suffered serious blood loss that required a transfusion during delivery.

Not much else is being said, but a message from a spokesperson for Holden and her husband Chris Hughes said, “Until Amanda is in a position to indicate what she wants to say, there’s no more information I can give”. Holden has been reported as being in critical condition for the past three days, but has recently been upgraded to stable condition.

At SureBaby, we can’t imagine what Holden is going through, and we’re sending her our wishes for a speedy recovery. After losing a child at 7 months less than a year ago and a miscarriage in 2010, we can only hope that mother and baby will be home and settling in comfortably together soon.
