Title: How did that happen??

Blog Entry: Last week I went to my first prenatal visit. I was so excited to be there because I was unsure how far along I was because of irregular periods. I knew they were going to give me an ultrasound and could not wait to see the little one. I knew I was at least 6 weeks pregnant and I was getting the pukes (what my niece calls morning sickness) for about a month. I felt I had been cursed because this was not just nausea but full on projectile puking. So needless to say I was feeling pretty confident things were going well in there. Nothing could have prepared me for what I saw that day! When the tech asked, 'Have you been taking anything?' I didn't even know what she was talking about. Then I saw I had been not cursed but blessed with two babies. I began to laugh and cry at the same time. After all we hadn't planned for one, let alone two. I called my husband and all he could say was 'How did that happen?'. Anyways I am now 13.5 weeks, further than I thought, and so far so good. I am very emotional, part terror/part hormones. If anyone else has experienced this shock and blessing know you are not alone.
