Adoption

So it turned out that i really wasn't pregnant. Boy it took me alot of praying to accept it. My period lasted for eleven days. Happy that its finally over.

Anyway, my husband and i have been praying and fasting about adopting a baby. And now that we are sure, we've decided to go ahead with it. I was so happy he said yes...We have about six months to prepare emotionally and financially for our bundle of joy. Hoping to have a healthy baby. Our financial situation hasn't cleared up much but we are confident that by the time the baby arrives we'll be ready by God's grace.

Has anyone opted for adoption after trying to conceive for years. Tell me your story, it would be nice to know that am not alone in this...Couldn't find anything about adoption on the site. I will look around again.

Thanks much guys...

Hi Admin, the process for adopting in my country takes time as well, but we are adopting a family member's baby who is currently 3 1/2 months pregnanct. We are guessing this process will be much easier. We still have to finalise the process and hoping all goes well. I have a friend who did the same thing and I don't think she had any problems with the paper work.I will definitely keep you guys posted. We are indeed very excited about becoming parents. Thanks for the adoption blogs. I will be visiting them soon...

Hi Leah,

I am really happy that you have both found a viable option. You sound like you are both very excited to be parents and that is one of the most essential ingredients for a happy family.

Does is really only take 6 months to complete the process in your area? Wow, that isn't too bad at all is it?

I used to nanny for a family that adopted. I was living in Canada at the time and they had been navigating the Canadian adoption system for quite some time. They were considered a special needs family because the mother had a disability (not that it hampered her in any way other than procreation). They waited for over 8 years but were eventually blessed with an absolute sweetheart of a little boy. They were able to adopt him from infancy and he fit right in the second he arrived. He is the light of their lives and they are such a loving and devoted family.

Adoption is wonderful and I found these neat sites that you may want to peruse for some more inspiring adoption stories;
