So I guess the best thing to write about first is to introduce myself.  I'm a 25 year old married mom of two living in Oregon.  I work part time as an office manager/bookkeeper by day, hold down a full time job as a mother/housekeeper/cook/entertainer/zookeeper/etc. and moonlight as a superhero.

They call me Super-LeftyMom , the frenzied working mother who can change a diaper in a single bound!  I jump from rooftop to rooftop cooking and cleaning for the entire family while simultaneously teaching the alphabet and curing a diaper rash!  You can easily recognize Super-Leftymom from my pajama pants and milk stained T-shirt, accented with a worn out pair of flip-flops.  My disguise?-  During 'civilian hours' I refer to myself simply as Jessica, or Jess.

I have many different interests and they're all very random so please bear with me as I simply list them off as they come to me.

Spirituality- Lately I've really been into reading up on different religions and spiritual practices of different people.  I suspect that all paths people choose eventually lead back to our Creator, so every path, although different, must be given respect.  I was raised in a Christian home, although I've recently incorporated Buddhist ideas into my belief system.

Babies and Children-I have a 4 year old girl, Anaiya Jade, and a 1 1/2 year old boy, Easton Cassius.  Ever since I was a young girl I have always imagined myself as a mother, and I am having a wonderful time doing it.  I adore my kids.  I'm also working on an elementary education degree (school is definitely on hold right now, although I just have a couple years left, as I have two very young kids and no money to pay for it!  Takes money to make money I guess).

Animals-  We keep 1 female australian cattle dog named Molly, 1 black cat named Mara (plus 4 new kittens), 3 parakeets that live in my daughters room, 1 ornate box turtle my daughter named Perfect, and a tank full of fish.  Our house is a regular zoo!

Politics-  My husband once said that, had he differed too much in political thought from me, he feared I probably wouldn't let him in the house!  He was joking when he said that, but is right when he says I have a very strong opinion about certain things.  It's good to know where you stand on important issues, and I'm continually learning from all the different viewpoints people have.  That definitely doesn't mean I don't enjoy people with different opinions though.  I guess if I needed to, I'd classify myself as a liberal minded person.

The Wild Outdoors-  I simply just love being outside.  Being outside, doing anything is such a great stress relief.

Tattoos- I have two, a butterfly I got on my shoulder blade, and a purple Forget-Me-Not flower I got on the top of my left foot.  I don't know if I'll get anymore...I probably won't get too many more, although my brain is always coming up with really good ideas for them.  Maybe just one more for my babies?  Hmmm...  I love watching Miami Ink and LA Ink just because I love the art, and the fact that it is carried with you everywhere you go.  A tattoo is always better with meaning behind it, in my opinion.

Ancient Civilizations- I love learning about history, and how humans have changed through time.

Fashion-  I am addicted to buying fashion magazines, because I certainly can't afford the real thing!

Celebrity Gossip- ask me about the latest celebrity news and I could give you up-to-the-minute info!

Art- If I ever have time, I do enjoy drawing and painting.  Mostly it's just coloring books though.

Sports- My favorites are golf, swimming, and basketball.  I've played all of these sports competitively since I was very young.

Music-  Love all kinds, 'cept for country.

Literature/Writing- I could live happily ever after inside a library. Currently I'm working on a project to get a website up dedicated to Crohn's Disease, an incurable autoimmune disease that my husband, Donald, is a victim of.  Cross your fingers for me that I can actually get this to take off.

Television- I'm addicted to Sex and the City, Friends, Family Guy, LA Ink, Miami Ink, Jon and Kate Plus 8, Deliver Me, Chelsea Lately, Project Runway, Daily Show, Colbert Report

I love life, and don't want to miss a minute of it, so I try to soak in as much as I can in the amount of time that I have.  Recently I read in a magazine (I don't particular remember which) this quote that really hit home to me.

It was something about how a certain wise man once said, that when he looked at a glass, he already saw it as broken.  That way, when his arm accidentally brushed against the glass and it fell down and broke, he said, "Of course."

He felt that every moment with the glass was precious.  Kind of a cool thing to keep in mind as I go through life, the clumsy fool that I am.

*Hmm...It's kind of weird talking about myself so much, I feel like I wrote a resume.  I guess it's a topic I know well, and is close to my heart, ha ha
