Feeling the baby??
Posted On 10/21/2009 07:38:58 by GeorgiaT

Hello,

I will be starting my 16th week on Friday 10/23/09. When should I begin to feel the baby? I probably should know this - being that I am not a 1st time mom but in my own defense - I had my son close to 10yrs ago! LOL

I remember the 1st time I felt my son, I remember what it felt like too - but I just dont remember how far along I was. I am also still very sick. This baby is kicking my butt. So much different from my 1st pregnancy!

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

I have six :)  I remember feeling each baby kick between 4 and a half and five months.  And I was so sick with each baby.  My doctor always said that having morning sickness is good... it meant I had a healthy pregnancy.  Hang in there.

Hi Tina,

I have not felt the baby move at all yet. When I said kicking my butt I meant that It has had me so sick! I have been sick every day - sometimes more then once a day and I am just starting my 16th week today! Luckily, the sickness has settled into evening sickness. Which is good only cause I work! BUT, then I feel bad because I really cant enjoy any time with my family. It's so hard when the best hours of your day - are spent at work and the worst are at home with my loved ones!

I am hopeful that this sickness will go away soon. I am really not enjoying this pregnancy because I have been so sick! I was sick with my son too - but not for this long!

I go back to my Dr. on November 4th. He will be able to tell me the sex of the baby at that point! I am very excited to find out - although I believe I am having another boy! Hopefully I will have felt the baby move by then! Up to now - I have not even felt a flutter!

How many children do you have?

Hi Georgia,  I remember feeling the baby kick between months 4-5.  Sounds about right too with this baby kicking earlier.  I think everything was earlier with the 2nd baby.  Braxton Hicks was harder too and I had a lot of false labors, lol. Are you still having morning sickness?
