Hi everyone,

I am new to the site.  I am 22 and married to a wonderful man, I have two girls at home.  One is 3 and the other 14 months, and I am pregnant with another girl who is due in September.  I am just getting a little anxious about having a third child.  Plus, it seems September is a VERY busy and hectic month and somewhere in there I'll be having a baby!  Is there anyone else who has had or is about to have 3 children and 2 of them are closer in age?  I need all the advice I can get!

We are WOMAN - don't you know - we can do anything!  My boys are 10 yrs apart, ages 30, 20 and 10, so I can't personally relate, but I can surely empathize as I know raising children is probably the toughest job on earth - if you do it right.  But about your situation, from what I've witnessed from neighbors and family with children very close in age - after you make it past those first few years - and you will - those girls will entertain each other, be very close to each other and you'll certainly be able to save $$ with hand-me-downs.  My boys being so far apart do love each other, but are not "close" to each other, although they do tend to look out for each other.  But I think , although a challenge for you, you will survive and your girls will always be close and be there for each other throughout life.  The downside - with all those hormones raging in one household one day, you're gonna need some valium!!!    Best wishes and a very happy life to your family!

Congratulations on your baby girl!  I remember having three in diapers at one time.  I was definitely busy.  I had my mother-in-law come down to help me (she lives a couple of hours away) when I felt overwhelmed.  Do you have a relative or friend around that can give you a couple hours here or there to help out whether it be babysitting, running errands, bringing a meal or giving kids a ride to and from wherever?  The hardest thing for me to do was accept help from others.  If the two choices are "ask for help" or go "insane", lol, I'd choice the first.  Remember that when you're busy, time flies and that it's all temporary.  Meaning, October will be here sooner than you think and things will settle down.  You need a mom hug, so I'm sending one!
