I think I may be pregnant, my period is 5 days late, I was on the pill but very lax with taking it this past month.  I've been very tired, but unable to sleep well.  I have felt some cramping in my abdomen, but not the same as when my period starts. I feel like I am always hungry and I feel like I have been a little moodier. I took a test last week but I think it was to early to detect anything.

My boyfriend and I are very capable of taking care of a baby, but obviously this was not planned.  I am almost 25 and have been yearning for a baby for awhile.  I'm having a hard time deciding on how/when to tell him.  We have had a couple scares before and he was very freaked out but he's a good man.

Well first take the test again now... take one of those ** digital tests (or equivilant) and see what it says.  And you don't really need to tell your boyfriend anything necessarily until it's confirmed.

It DOES sound to me like you're experiencing pregnancy symptoms.. OR because you've been subconsciously yearning for a baby ... you could be exaggerating the symptoms a bit (it happens to all of us!).  Hard to say. A pregnancy test though should be able to confirm by now though that you are pregnant if you are.  I took one of those cheepy tests at about the same time as you said you took yours and it showed I was pregnant on 2 of them.. .. so..  wasn't necessarily too hard to tell at that time. BUT yes it could be. Every woman's hormone levels are different.

If you have been wanting a baby for a long time then you could be making the signs show. If you know what I mean? Only see what you want to see kind of thing. If you are so keen on having children then i'm sure you will make a great parent :) I have wanted children for ages and I was so glad to find out I am pregnant. Best thing to do is to check it out and know for sure before you tell your partner. Good luck with everything!
