I have to agree with alicia22. There are ladies who get confused especially if they are young and are first time pregnant. Sometimes, what you read on the internet may not apply to you directly and, you're prompted to look for people with the same experiences. I believe to each his own and, they also have the right to voice their opinions and right to answers to their questions.

Well, I actually just posted in the Maybe Pregnant forum. I can understand your point of view, however, I also realize, being in the situation, that its a possibility that some are not at home. I am actually at work, and have been the last nine hours, and will be for another hour.

I came to site looking for insight on other mothers that are maybe experiencing the same thing, to get opinions, not to find out if I was just by asking a total stranger. It is nice to have the support from people that haave been there. Now I will be going to get a preggo test when I get off work, just wanna throw that out there.

Also, if the site isn't for "am I pregnant" questions, then why do they have a forum section specifically for that? Just a curious question. Also, people sometimes feel more comfortable about asking strangers, rather than family, bc they fear the dissapointment from the family, not me, just in general.

Not bashing either, but that is just my opinion.

When I first thought I was pregnant, I scoured the internet for signs and symptoms. Of course, every site is super vague because they can't be definitive since almost every pregnancy symptom can be a symptom of something else. I started driving my husband crazy with my constant searching and obsessing. It got to where I didn't want to mention my symptoms even more.

When I read all the pregnancy symptom questions, I try to help as much as I can, and always, always, always tell them taking a test is the only way to know for sure. In addition, I try to remind people that there are clinics willing to help low income women in case they can't afford a HPT.

In my opinion, the site is a pregnancy related site dedicated for support of any woman who is TTC, may be pregnant, pregnant, or already given birth. It's extremely unfair to say that women who may not understand the changes in her body the right to ask other women who have been through this before for advice.

This is not a site simply for women who "know" they are pregnant. I would have been lost without this site in my first couple weeks.
