I'm about 10 weeks on guess into pregnacy. Won't know for sure till the end of this month. I have a low drive to begin with and it has been even worse since I found out. I don't get excited like I use to at the though of it. I don't like being touched in a sexual way hardly ever now. I'm worried about this cause my drive was never this low. It has got to the point were sex feels like a hassle. Is this normal?

It's a for sure since I haven't had a period since the middle of June. Just waiting to have an ultra sound done to find out how far I am. I've been lucky and had no symptoms. Just the Jean's I could once wear don't fit anymore. My boyfriend has been getting frustrated cause he has to bug me for days to get sex now. It makes me feel bad cause he's suffering and I'm just not in the mood.

Hi New Mom,

First off Congratulations! How exciting for you both to be expecting a baby. Is your boyfriend aware of the changes your body is going through at the moment? If not, he should probably read up on the many things he will need to be sensitive about, first and formost, not guilting you into having sex when you aren't in the mood.

Your body is working like a little factory creating another human, that takes a boat load of energy, particularly in the early stages. Never mind that your brain will be going a million miles a minute adjusting to the idea. Its no wonder that you are feeling less than amorous.

Don't feel badly about having a lower drive right now, pregnancy is only 9 months... then the newborn stage will be exhausting so your drive will take a hit then too. Certainly don't do anything you don't feel like doing, offer to cuddle or give each other massages, mutual naps sound perfect right about now don't they?

He may find some relief and support through discussing all of this on some of the daddy forums, they are out there, tell him to check it out.

It was confirmed that I'm 12 weeks. My boyfriend has been backing off lately since I made it clear to him I won't always be in the mood. We are very excited at this point now that we have seen the baby.
