So, I'm into my second trimester, and I sometimes gets this little bubbly sensation in my abdomen. It was really strange the first time it happened -- not uncomfortable -- and it happened for a few days, but then it stopped. Is this just gass bubbles I'm feeling or is it the baby? And if it is the baby, should I be worried that it just stopped?

Hello sally. It's probably the baby. This early, that's the way you can feel the baby. You're lucky to be feelin the baby this early. Most people only notice the baby's movements as from 20wks or so. And rest assured, nothing's wrong with ur baby. It's still moving but, it takes time for you to get used to it to actually know it's your baby moving. It's still too small for its movements to be very noticeable. So, patience and soon, those bubbly sounds will become real heavy kicks ;-). Here's wishin u a healthy pregnancy.

It's so hard to tell at first!

The first time I felt my son move (1st pregnancy), I was just sitting on the couch at around 17 weeks. All of a sudden, I felt three very sharp, distinct kicks in the same spot - almost like a knock at the door.

I'd never felt anything like it, and I figured it MUST be the baby - what else could it be? But then i didn't feel anything else for a couple of weeks, and when I did feel movement again, it was those indistinct bubbly feelings, not sharp kicks.

So, who knows? No point worrying in early weeks. It's not till the third trimester that there's any concern about baby moving or not.
