Pregnancy Topics | Funny ways to guess the sex of the fetus

Hello ladies,

Hope you are all doing great with the little ones inside. I jus want to collect some funny ways(old wives tale) of determining the sex of the fetus. Please share some of your knowledge. Let me share one to start with: If the skin complexion of mom-to-be is darker than pre-pregnancy, then its going to be a BOY. If she gains pregnancy radiance, then its a GIRL.

Have you heard anything as such?

lmao "old wives tails" are excatly that!!! My hair has never been softer and my skin has never been clearer then when im preg, so we had a look on the net and thought we were having a girl.......turns out we have a little boy!!! we also did the ring test....which said girl.....but as ive said b4 were having a boy in about 4wks time!

So please dont get ur heart set on a set sex because they r not always acurate!! this is now my 2nd son and we checked the old wives tails with both!!

Oh is it? Don know how accurate is all those tales since am pregnant for the first baby. I don have mind set about sex neither I don wanna know it before birth. I just found it interesting.

We never found out with our 1st either, we tried guessing with the old wives tails and the predicters! out of 6 different things we tried 4 said we were having a girl! So with this pregnancy we checked again and it was the same, and this time i honestly thought of a girl as they were compleatly different pregnanies as i had pretty bad morning sickness with this 1 and not my 1st, so when it came time to check the sex on the u/sound i was totally shocked then the raidographer said it was a boy!!! I was pretty upset as i let my heart run away with me!!

What's the one about how you're carrying? If you're carrying high it's a girl and if you're carrying low it's a boy? or is it the other way around?

We've left all of our babies to be a surprise. I think it's fun guessing for 9 months. My father-in-law, though, has 7 grandchildren, and he has guess the sex of every one correctly. He won't tell us how he knows, though....

Yeah, I think high is a girl, and low is a boy.

I've also heard that if you're craving sweets it's a girl and if you're craving salty things it's a boy.

When I was pregnant with my first, I went to a Chinese restaurant. The Chinese woman who owned the place took one look at me as I came in the door and said I was having a boy. She was right! The place is closed, now though, so I can't test her skills this time

@mom_of_two: Yeah, even I heard about the high and low.. Your father-in-law should be knowing one but exact way to determine the sex of the baby.

@nutmeg: I crave for salty food like pickles, raw mangoes.. let me see how true is this. But am not sure about the high and low thing. I'm still not able to find that out in me. Chinese have a lot of myths so that had predicted yours right
