Ok, so im now 38wks+ and on tues night i was getting contractions every 5min, my cervix at this point was very soft, and bubbas head was very engaged, so they decided to keep me in and monitor my progress, that was at 7:00pm! during the night my contractions started coming every 2mins and i was getting alot of pain in my groin, so i was thinking "yay its almost time", but at 02:30am i still wasnt dielating, so they kept monitoring my progress and at 04:00am they gave me a sleeping tablet so i could rest!! By 06:00am i was still getting 2min contractions but the pain had eased off slightly. When the dr came on at 07:30am i was compleatly over it lol, so i had yet another internal and she said with all the contractions i was having its brought his head down so hes very ready to come out but by doing that hes pushed my cervix up and behind his head which i why i was in alot of pain! so the dr wants me to come back in on sat to be put on the monitors and have another internal to see if the 2min contractions im STILL having have pushed my cervix into the right place and if its down they will be able to "help" me progress, but if its still up behind him then my only option is C-SECTION!!!

Im hoping i can have bub the way i want to, as im not keen for the c-section, but if it means my son is safe ill do what ever i can.

Has any1 esle experianced this in there later stages?? any advise will be great

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I've never heard of that issue with the cervix, but it sounds like it would be really painful! I hope you're able to handle it alright. I would guess that the best thing you could do would be to relax and try to get some shut eye if you can.

If you do need to have a c section, try not to be disapponted. My sister had one (and she really didn't want one, which made her very upset at the time), but the procedure went smoothly and her recovery was surprisingly quick. Keep your spirits up and let us know what happens!! Good Luck, Nayz!

Wow, I've never heard of that either, Nayz. I'm a little late to this thread, so however it turned out, it's probably happened by now!

Hope everything is well for you. Let us know how it's going!
