Prenatal exercises
Posted On 03/03/2011 02:11:29

Here again. Not sure how to start this blog so, i'm just going to ramble on as it comes. I started taking pilate exercises as soon as i found out i was pregnant and i must say, it's been really helpful. However, I had to modify them to suit my present situation since pilates is strongly chore oriented. Yoga is also another good stretching exercise like pilates. It is important to note though that during pregnancy, your limbs and joints become more supple and flexible so, over stretching could lead to injury. If you haven't already signed up for a prenatal exercise class, I highly recommend it for all of you pregnant ladies. It's good preparation for ladies ttc as well. God bless.

Epidurals
Posted On 03/03/2011 01:51:26

Good morning ladies. It's 7:36am here :-). Anyway, i just wanted to chip in a subject many women dread talking about. Why are so many women ashamed of talking about epidurals even when they've chosen that option? Some women feel less than they are because they chose to take epidurals. I met a lady the other day at the market (holding a cute 3 month old baby girl) and somehow, the issue came up and, she said she feels guilty and feels she disappointed her baby by electing for epidural mostly because lots of women who didn't go that way give her a hard time for it. I was aghast. I had to quickly let her know she did what she felt was right for her baby. Some people have a high threshold for pain and some others don't, it's as simple as that. However, it shouldn't matter what option you take. I think there's a saying that "the end justifies the means". The end result is holding your baby in ur arms. That is what matters. I'd really like to know what you ladies think. God bless and good morning once again :-)

Pregnancy woes and loving it! :-D
Posted On 02/21/2011 09:17:41

Hi ladies. I'm officially half way through my pregnancy. I'm 20.3wks today. I've been very forgetful lately, forgetting even the sliguest things lol. I've also noticed the first signs of back ache. Also, is it just me or is anyone sick of lying on their sides, especially their left sides? I find that i have to prop a pillow behind my back and one in front of my tummy to keep from rolling on my tummy or my back at night. Dh is going nuts laughing his head off. Bubba expresses his displeasure by giving me a kick or punch when i'm in a position he doesn't like. He gave dh a punch in the head yesterday! Serve him right! Lol. These are some of them but, i'd gladly have them over and over again for my bubbs. I luv him so much. Cheers to you ladies.

Labour and birth scare anyone?
Posted On 02/06/2011 03:58:05

Hi ladies. I know its still a long way for me (i'm 18wks) but, does anyone ever think of labour and delivery and get scared? Lately, i've been thinkin about it and panic. I think about the pain. I hear it could be terrible for a first pregnancy and, i'm terrified. Anyone else have or had these concerns?

Bump :) finally!
Posted On 02/01/2011 05:55:56

Hello ladies. I'm 17.4wks. It seems my bump sprang out overnight. Been waiting for it since wk 12. It crept up on me lol. My bubba moves in bubbly sounds for now but, feel him mostly after a heavy meal. I think he eats alot :-D. Just thought to say hello with an update. Cheers to u all.

Wonderful baby
Posted On 01/21/2011 02:45:02

Good news and sad news. Sad first! Went for a scan yesterday and the ultrasound tech said he was sorry he misidentified the babies. What he had earlier thought to be another baby was actually a benign fibroid which means i'm not having twins as i earlier thought! Good news! It was worth it to see my baby tumbling and kicking away. Couldn't stop the tears of joy (crybaby). Hope all you ladies have a wonderful pregnancy. Luv u all. Mwah!!

Experiences

Hello ladies. I'm 12.3wks pregnant and, i don't feel pregnant (just slightly sore breasts). As a matter of fact, i feel great. Also, i feel some dull pain or ache when i press down or lie on my tummy. Ok, are these normal or should i be alarmed?

Is this dangerous?
Posted On 11/16/2010 02:22:06
I'm 6wks 4 days pregnant and i've had a relatively smooth pregnancy with comfortable symptoms. However, nausea and vomiting started yesterday and, i can't keep any food down. I'm so hungry and, i've been tryin to eat but, my body's not having it. Is this dangerous for my babies? I'm carrying twins. Pls help!
