Baby Gates and Enclosures

Safety Tips

When your baby can crawl, it's time to block doorways and stairways with baby gates. Gates are intended to be used for children aged 6-24 months. Follow these guidelines when using gates and enclosures:

Gates with expanding pressure bars should be installed with the bar side away from the baby.

Anchor the gate securely in the doorway or stairway.

Always close the gate when you leave the room and never leave baby unattended.

Many newer "accordion style" baby gates do have the JPMA Certified Seal. Older models which are not certified could be hazardous.
