High Chairs

Be sure to set your high chair up well before eating time. Because mealtimes can be very busy, it can be difficult to hold a baby and then deal with setting up the chair. Make a point to secure your child with a waist strap and strap through the crotch area. Don't expect trays attached to the chair to keep your baby safe; use the security straps to secure your child. Don't put a high chair right up against the table as baby can push off the table with his/her feet and knock the chair over. A baby or toddler standing up in a high chair can topple it over or fall from it. Secure the safety latch on a folding high chair each time you assemble it and check the chair for hazards such as sharp parts.
