Easter Eggs

easter eggshellsItems needed:

  • Leftover Easter eggs (colored shells)
  • Cardstock or construction paper (any color)
  • Crayons or markers
  • White glue

First, draw a simple shape on the colored cardstock or construction paper, such as a large egg or a flower. If you're not good at drawing freehand, trace a design using an Easter cookie cutter or stencil. If the eggshells aren't broken up yet, have your children break them up now.

Next, spread a thick coat of glue inside the shape area and help your children sprinkle bits of the broken eggshells onto the glue. Allow the mosaic to dry. When the drying process is complete, hang the mosaic on your wall or fridge, or help your child make several mosaics as Easter cards for family and friends.
