Pregnancy Week 25
This week of pregnancy, your baby is about 9 - 10 inches in length and weighs almost 1 pound. Your baby's nostrils (which have been plugged) begin to open. By this week, blood vessels have developed in your baby's lungs. Your baby makes breathing movements, but there's no air in the lungs yet. More below:
Changes in You:
You may be gaining close to a pound a week now. Your weight gain is probably more than 15 pounds now- if your morning sickness has vanished. Sometime soon, your doctor may perform a glucose tolerance test to determine whether you have gestational diabetes. The test is usually done between 24 and 28 weeks of pregnancy.
